Repair and Maintenance

GCI began as a repair service company back in 1946. GCI today is over 70 people strong with a powerful focus on customer service. We continue to provide a top quality valve repair service, with customer satisfaction as our top priority. Our capabilities range from the smallest regulators to the largest control valves with all the support expertise that is required to assure critical specifications and customer requirements are met to the highest degree.

To supplement our service department, we can provide application expertise to solve process issues related to control. Whether you have a nonworking valve, or you need one that does, we can provide you with the best solution.

All valves repaired by GCI are put through a systematic procedure to ensure total quality control and customer satisfaction.

when received:
  • Customer valve repair instructions are obtained and entered into the computer prior to valve disassembly. Pre-disassembly diagnostics are available upon request.
  • Valve disassembly inspection is completed and the costs is estimated.
  • Valve condition and repair costs are provided to customer.

  • Parts are manufactured by GCI or purchased from approved vendors.
  • Repairable metal parts are reconditioned.
  • The valve is reassembled and orientated as received or as instructed.

  • Valves are tested to OEM specifications (i.e. seat leakage, operational test and hydro test).
  • A Quality Control Inspector witnesses all testing.
  • Assembly Report completed.
  • Valve is packaged for shipping. Disassembly, Reassembly, Parts Used, and Valve Testing paperwork can be supplied upon request.

We have the ability to do large scale in-house plant maintenance—shutdowns with each and every valve going through the GCI repair procedure to meet customer requirements.

If the valves cannot come to us, then we can offer a repair/exchange. GCI has many years of experience repairing most types of popular OEM valves, actuators, and instruments.

GCI can repair your valve trim to ‘like new’ condition by machining, welding, and applying special coatings. If the trim cannot be repaired it can be replaced with a new manufactured GCI product.
